Here are some views of this delightful part of Scotland

Images of Braemar

Braemar looking towards the south.

The village nestles among many hills. On the right is Morrone, destination of the 'hill-race'. In the centre, behind the village is the Clunie valley with the golf course. Further back are the hills of the Glenshee ski centre. On the left is the Lochnagar range. In the foreground the River Dee is visible

Houses in Braemar are built of stone and have a style special to the Highlands

Loch Callater lies just south of Braemar and offers a quiet walk among beautiful surroundings

No! Not the Royal princes! But two local boys in Highland dress at the site of many photo calls

The same place - the old Brig o' Dee. The flowering heather precedes the onset of Autumn in arguably the most beautiful countryside in Britain

But, of course, winter naturally follows autumn. Braemar is on record as having the coldest winters in Britain

In these cold spells the deer often come down into the village
